ASSISTANT SERVICES COORDINATOR POSITION

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Will report directly to the General Manager
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Excellent problem solving, organizational and decision-making skills required
  • Demonstrate flexibility and creativity
  • Make sure Staff Adhere to EPIC/SMILE’s Policies and Procedures
  • Make sure Staff Adhere to Manitoba Residential Care Licensing Manual
  • Communicate with members of the Administration team
  • Ensure all protocols are followed
  • Clear understanding of Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word is essential
  • Arrange doctor, dentist, optical and specialist appointments for residents as needed
  • Take residents to appointments (includes documenting results)
  • Communicate with Public Trustee, CSW and families
  • Update Residential files and binders
  • Will have to be On-Call at least once a month
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must possess a Class 5 Driver’s License
  • Communication in English, both written and verbal
  • French would be an asset but not necessary
  • Must possess Adult Abuse Registry and
  • Criminal Record Check
  • Must be able to maintain good positive working relations with others

RESIDENTIAL CARE WORKER

Full Time/Part time and Casual Positions available

ROLE

The role of the Residential Care Worker is to supervise and facilitate the daily activities of the residents in relation to their individual goals and plans.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Must be willing to work days, evenings, weekends and nights
  • Supervise and assist individuals with intellectual disabilities
  • Maintain a safe and sanitary environment
  • Ability to teach and practice the skills of daily living
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent time management
  • Excellent problem solving, organizational and decision-making skills required
  • Excellent conflict resolution skills
  • Demonstrate flexibility and creativity
  • Household maintenance, laundry and meal planning/preparation.
  • Adhere to EPIC/SMILE Residential Duty Roster
  • Adhere to EPIC/SMILE’s Policies and Procedures
  • Adhere to Manitoba Residential Care Licensing Manual
QUALIFICATIONS
  • Must be minimum 18 years of age
  • Must possess a Class 5 Driver’s License and be able to drive anywhere
  • Communication in English, both written and verbal
  • French would be an asset but not necessary
  • Must possess Adult Abuse Registry Check
  • Must possess Criminal Record Check
  • Must possess St. John’s Emergency First Aid or equivalent
  • Must be able to maintain good positive working relations with others
WAGES
  • As per union agreement
